Cheating Takla Hen

Postby M Sheikh » Thu Sep 13, 2012 1:56 pm

What happened is I paired up a really nice creasted White cock with a Sabuni hen
I was hopping that if I get at least 1 chick like the father.

Guess what the babies turned out to be exactly like my B Roller cock
Instead of crested White Takla

It's only have little feather on the leg and colour is like that George Mason roller

Onething I don't understand in they have had babies before but it was like the mother
Why did she decided to cheat on him and mate with that roller

I thought they mate for life I know cocks do mate with other spare hens in the loft
But HEN it's the first time I have seen it

They mate for life but every once in a while .......... things happen.
It is always agood idea to not to keep multiple breeds in the same coop.
There is always a chance.
Some people keep each pair in a seperate coop to eleminate this possibility.
